Dr. Kari Odermann

Dr. Kari Odermann creates communication solutions for projects in sensitive political contexts. She has worked across the Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, India, and Ukraine, translating complex information into accessible narratives.

She began her career as a policy advisor, working in the German Parliament and at the German Council on Foreign Relations. Before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, she worked as Chief International Anchor at UATV and Hromadske TV, where she provided expert political analysis. Her insights have been featured on global media platforms, including MSNBC, RTL (Germany), TRT World (Turkey), and WION (India).

Dr. Odermann has taught political science at the University of Maryland and lectured at the Kyiv Institute of Economics. Her insights on global affairs, security, political communication, and the Russian-Ukrainian information space reach millions.

In 2024, she was appointed a Non-Resident Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA), recognized for her leadership in European security and communication strategies. She maintains strong ties to Ukraine through regular speaking engagements at the Directorate General for Rendering Services to Diplomatic Missions (GDIP) and her involvement with Women in International Security (WIIS) and the B4Ukraine Coalition.

Dr. Odermann holds a doctorate in political science from Freie Universität Berlin and was a Fulbright scholar in Latvia.
